Like the basic bitch I am. Anyway...

Aside from raising kids, most of my adut life has been spent going to school to be a teacher, or actually being a teacher.  I did dabble in real estate and mortgages, even though it felt like the devil was sucking the soul out of me. And there was a year when I was figuring out my life after Brooklynn was born that I was a receptionist at a vet clinic.  But as an actual career, teaching is all I've ever known.

So I'm curious, in other careers do they offer you pizza to make up for the fact that you are grossly underpaid?  Or is that teaching?  Perhaps they feed you Olive Garden salad and bread sticks after working outside your contract time?  No, just teachers?  Ok, thanks.

Well it's not a secret that teachers love food.  But when it comes from your teacher friends, it's even better because you know that you aren't being manipulated into doing anything extra. They are genuinely just sharing yummy treats.
